Mission: Timucuan Parks Foundation preserves, promotes and enhances Jacksonville’s natural areas through community engagement, education, and enjoyment.

Geographic areas served: City, state and national parks and preserves. . . over 86,000 acres of preserved lands in the Jacksonville metro area
Programs: • WELL-BEING: Healthy Parks, Healthy City initiative, youth education and outdoor activities, outdoor recreation (health-focused activities that take people to the parks). • SENSE OF PLACE – promoting archaeological research within the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve and supporting the National Park Service’s events; convening a working group to establish a network of historical and cultural trails; developing regional preserve strategies to include signage and displays featuring the historical, cultural and ecological aspects of each park. • Restoration and Resiliency – 7,000+ volunteer hours in the parks and developing a Living Shoreline project.
