Programs: Tobacco free north dakota is working to restrict the ability of the tobacco industry to market tobacco and to change the social environment to support nonsmoking through advocacy for public and private sector policy change and community mobilization. In 2016-2017, tfnd actively worked and supported efforts to educate the public and state elected officials about the benefits of fully funded tobacco prevention and control program at cdc best practice recommended levels. Additionally, tfnd continued education and advocacy to members of the state health professional networks and associations to incorporate cdc best recommend practices with patients regarding tobacco use.
