Mission: Our mission is to rebuild, reclaim, and restore futures through education, health, and social programs impacting communities.

Results: Results began years prior to securing our nonprofit status with the IRS. The leadership team's years of experience in successful classroom instruction, diversity training, business and community partnerships, and law enforcement consulting paved the way to train people up for success. In 2013, Dr. J Lin Dawson returned to his hometown in Eastern North Carolina to launch a Boys Saturday Academy with the support of long-time coach/mentor/community leader Coley Little and a group of committed men, some of who grew up in housing developments with Lin. Margo Dawson, a former high school teacher, and community relations consultant grabbed the baton and closed STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) in rural Eastern North Carolina from 2014 - 2017 partnering with Lenovo, NASA, Lenoir County Public Schools, Lenoir County Parks and Recreation, NSBE Jr. , John Deere, Century Link, John Deere, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, NC State University, East Carolina State University, & local businesses and private donors from around the country.  Programming extended to the local community with a partnership with NC State University's Extension division to train youth how to plant and harvest produce & plants at the Kinston Community Children's Garden. The nonprofit organization was awarded a State Employee Teaching Fellow from East Carolina University to assist with the Saturday Math Lab for middle and high school students and with the Friends in Ministry Collaboration, the Rochelle After School Tutoring Program. As part of the mission statement, increasing health is integrated into all programs led by Fusion Fitness by Jelyse. Examples included 2015,2016, and 2017 fitness classes for registered student participants and the community. Another result of setting SMART goals and pursuing the mission is responding to social issues like gang violence, bullying, and community engagement. The organization's leadership led community forums and training with local and state-wide groups to accomplish this goal. In addition, another mission goal is increasing career awareness for economic opportunity. This began in 2016 and continued through 2019 with invitations to the NCA&T University Women in Science & Technology events and exposure to a diverse group of industry leaders. Despite the 2020 pandemic, TTUS earned A GUIDESTAR GOLD SEAL. Our COVID Relief programs for K-12 students included the Online Story Time & Science Episodes, Nature Adventures, and the 2020 Girls Fit to Soar Virtual Camps gaining ABC News coverage. Our 2021 vision is a focus on career mentoring. Most of our students who began our programs in elementary school are about to go to college. Some are about to graduate. Join Train Them Up for Success in getting them all "work" ready using their skills and strengths.

Target demographics: Our mission is to restore broken lives, rebuild our community, and reclaim our future. The goal of this program is to increase school success, citizenship, and health by integrating community gardening activities, science, math, and mentoring to increase conflict management and decision making.

Direct beneficiaries per year: TTUS partnered with Lenoir County Public Schools and Girls Scouts to take students to the NCA&T University's Women in Technology Luncheon & College Tour. We also, with a grant from the American Tower Foundation, set the stage for our E-Learning program which galvanized career coaches in 2020.
