Mission: Provide vocational & educational services to developmentally disabled adults

Programs: The organization provides vocational evaluation, training, and placement in a supported community based employment setting. The vocational training is individualized and focosed on leveraging individual assets and strengths. Job developers work to identify employment oportunities in the community. Job coaches support the participant in the employment setting, working to build an array of natural supports. Additionally, social enrichment activities are intended to support clients in furthering their ability to live independently in their communities and to be successful in the community based employment setting. Individuals are assisted in obtaining driver's license, ged and additional community based training, such as computer training and public speaking. Approximately 90 clients participated in the program in the year endng june 30,2014.

the respite program offers short term care for developmentally disabled children and adults in order to provide their families relief from providing constant care. Trained professionals provide this care either in their homes, the client's home or in the community-based recreational setting. Respite providers are matched on an individual basis, depending on family need. The organization coordinates respite services on a statewide basis in conjunction with a number of other agencies serving the developmentally disabled. During the year ended june 30,2014, respite services for the families of 132 clients were coordinated utilizing 150 direct-care providers.
