This is great system for solo backpacker/kayaker. Actually, it can be used for two. Weighs in at 2 lb. (900g) with 0.6L kettle and orange Trangia bag. My only 'minute' design complaint is that the accessory kettle does not outright nest into the smaller bowl. The spout actually causes it to be slightly tilted. Not a big deal, though. A great piece of Swedish engineering.

This is a top notch stove and well worth the money. For USA users, you can use Heet from an autoparts store. This is the new highlight of my kit.

I like the set a lot, but the frying pan/lid doesn't fit OVER the set. It fits sort of on top of the lower wind screen. The width of the frying pan is not big enough to fit 34;over34; the lower wind screen when everything is all nested together. The strap helps a little to keep the set together, but since the lid doesn't fit over the set, it has a tendency to slide around. At least that is how mine fits.

I wish I could find the 27-1 HA for sale anywhere. That is the full hard anodized set, and this one has a non-stick fry pan instead. I bought the hard anodized frying pan separately and traded out the pan in this set with that one. So now I basically have the 27-1 HA set. Very nice. Not ultra lite, but you know that going in. Super nice, simple cooking system.

Great product, fun cooking outdoors - the flame is excellent and the heat spreads pretty equally. Cooks very well in windy conditions. Feels like cooking at home. The only thing I would change is the way one has to put the flame dimmer in place during cooking - I got burnt several times trying to throw it in the open flame and placing it on spot. It's also difficult to handle it when trying to put the flame out. I improvised something with an iron thread, but I think trangia should put their mind to it. update: I forgot some leftover alcohol in the burner for about 2 months, and the burner and its cover got stains on them (something like rust). It also leaked a bit into the yellow bag where its kept (inside the kettle I bought along with the trangia 27). I guess you can keep some alcohol in the burner for a couple of days, while on trekking/camping, but don't make the same mistake I made and don't leave it for too long... I can still use the burner but I guess it might completely deteriorate someday...
