I originally purchased as a travel jacket, it has since become my everyday ware jacket as well. 1st, it is very light weight, durable material and folds up very compact which makes it good travel garment, and it held-up very well over a 12 day backpacking tour. 2nd, it is very warm, I do not like being cold and with a vest under the jacket I was comfortable in temperatures around 42 degrees. The pockets are deep which I like. Just note that the inside pockets are very deep. For what it is worth, I purchased a second one in a different color.

I was skeptical at first because it was so reasonably priced. It worked great to keep me warm and is lite weight. I wore it on a cold and slight drizzly day. It repelled the water. It has two zippered outer pockets and two nice and deep inner pockets. I was able to keep a beanie in one and a scarf in the other.I loved it so much that I bought one for my wife and kid. I read some reviews that said it is impossible to pack. If you fold and roll it correctly, it fits right in the pouch.

If you workout or just naturally have a broad chest and shoulders, I recommend that you size up on this one. It gets pretty tight around the armpits when you try to reach for stuff with this jacket on. It's just unfortunate that it gets baggy around the waist when you size up but at least you won't look like a clown with sleeves riding half way up your forearm when you try to reach for things and looking like your upper chest is about bust the zipper apart. Warmth-wise, it'll keep you warm in 50F temps with just a long sleeve on underneath, 40F temps if you layer a light fleece or wool pullover underneath.Personal preference, I know everyone handles temperatures differently

Everything about purchases like this is about the price and quality. Given that I would recommend purchasing this again because it was cheap and it's actually pretty warm it's just probably not that durable. I am 511 and 185 lb and a large it fits quite well.Would I buy it again yes, would I give it as a gift, no.

I was looking for something to bridge the gap btw my fleece hoodie and heavy down coat. This fits the bill. Great insulation to weight ratio, ridiculously light. Doesn't inhibit arm movement at all. Throw a fleece hoodie underneath and you are good into the mid 30's (that is, without a wind factor). The zipper is not heavy duty, so be delicate with it. Make sure you seat the key of the zipper in the base all the way, and make sure material is stretched out, so the zipper doesn't bind on it. I'm 170 lbs, 5'10, I usually get a large, but I got XL so I'd have room for under layers. It was perfect, not clown size big, just enough to be roomy. Cheers!

This jacket seems fine. It's very light and whatever filling is used, it's minimal to the point of feeling insubstantial. The packaging, however, was poor. The jacket was lying on top of the plastic bag it should have been inside of. It also was so full of static it needed to be treated in the dryer with fabric sheets before it could be worn.
