I have the older kerosene version of this lamp too, and the LED version is just as bright. Good Coleman quality

Shines bright and clear. I don't go camping, but it's great for hurricanes and black-outs really illuminates an averae size room

Light is bright. We've used it during power failures so that we don't stumble around in the dark. Only wish is that it came in black (as did the prior two that we ordered) because the green really looks like a light you'd use camping outdoors. The black ones don't scream 34;take me camping34; quite as much and they look better 34;on display34; in the house.

I'm sure this lantern is just as good as my silver version that goes from 100 to 580 lumens. I love it. I used it a lot in my tent. I hung it in the center and didn't have to worry about fumes or burning a hole in my ceiling. I so want another one like the one in the photo but I can't find one anywhere, new or used, Ebay included. Coleman needs to bring it back.

Coleman is a great brand but this product underwhelms. Particularly with so many other options with lower-cost energy sources. 8 D batteries can get pricey.

Extremely bright and i don't doubt it will run as long as they say it will on a single set of batteries. I wish I had this when the power was out during Hurricane Irma. The good thing about this is that it's usable inside due to the fact that it is not fueled by propane.
