Bought this as a hurricane light in Florida. Works great. Fantastic light output. Plenty of light and no heat. The only drawback is that it takes a lot of batteries.

Not cheap, but provides very nicely diffused not too glaring light good for illumination without blinding you and has wide illumination control range. I also like that it takes 8 D Cells and will last a very long time on any setting, this is an excellent emergency power outage light to have for general illumination. If I were to only have one emergency lantern this would be the one - I have 6.

I live in Texas, as you probably are aware we had some hurricanes visit this year. i bought these for prep, they're so bright or dim depending on your preference and they last a long time. Great products, you can use them to light rooms which is really what I was going for. I will say they're a little bit heavy due to the batteries but the long battery life is well worth the trade off.

Highly recommend it, serves the purpose very well during hurricanes when power is lost. Original set (8) batteries are going good after two years, but then we used them (this is our third one) responsibly. I bought two lanterns along with the required 8 D cell batteries each for our son who happens to be our neighbor. Be sure to check the batteries every few months just in case they start to corrode even while they may still be working. I have lost several Mag Lites and some electronics to leaking batteries in recent years.

I remember the old Coleman lanterns that used propane and there was always the danger of fire or leakage. No more! This is a handy thing to have for camping and late evening picnics as well as around the house on stormy nights. The lantern arrived in time for a special camping trip with my sisters and I have also since used it in my home as an extra flash light.

Bought this after the last hurricane went through here. Did not lose power then, but decided this would be good to have for the next time. Beautiful bright light that lights up the whole room...I like things to be bright. Would recommend to anyone wanting or needing a good light for any darkness reason...camping, hurricanes, etc. Will gladly do business with this seller again as needed.

I was sceptical about buying this lantern. I had the older gas style colman lanterns, that are very bright. Well when it got dark at camp I turned the Coleman led lantern on. Wow it exceeded my expectations. I was very surprised how much light it let off. Very pleased with product and I will buy another.
