The little ones are fairly accurate. You need to tilt them at times to free the spinner so it can point in the right direction. Clearly more purple in my bag but no complaints. All in all, fun little trinkets for everyone to play pirate or explorer.

These were purchased to be used in STEM project to map magnetic fields. Unfortunately, almost all the needles were stuck and thus did not align with the earths magnetic field. I have purchased similar tiny compasses for this purpose in the past and they were real compasses. These should not be sold. They are not functioning compasses and have no value at all.

These are toys that look like compasses not actual compasses. I put a strong magnet near them and they did not respond even a little. They are plastic all the way through. Do not buy if you want a working compass. Kind of a mean toy, give it to the kids and they play with it they can pretend, but they can't actually use it; they don't learn anything from this toy. If you deep fry a McDonald's hamburger it may be unhealthy, but it still has some nutritional value; these, on the other hand, are pure garbage. Store them in the trash can.
