Mission: Living Out Our MISSION: UCP Central PA empowers people of diverse abilities to live a meaningful life through innovative support and services. Target demographics: people of all ages with all types of disabilities.
Direct beneficiaries per year: by providing both community and center-based programs and services to nearly 3,800 individuals with disabilities and their family members.
Geographic areas served: Centre, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montour, Northern York, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, and Union counties
Programs: We encourage a life without limits for people who are born with a disability, acquire a disability through illness, accident or injury, or are aging into a disability through our comprehensive service offerings. We offer children who are experiencing delays in meeting developmental milestones various therapies to help them reach their full potential through Early Intervention. We deliver a broad system of support for the entire family including grandparents and siblings through Family Support Services. We provide the support, resources, and access that helps people secure, maintain, and succeed at competitive, meaningful employment through Employment Services. We help people lead more independent, full, and engaging lives while volunteering, working, shopping, or participating in recreational opportunities in Home and Community Services. We are building strong community connections by matching each person’s strengths, preferences, and abilities with available local opportunities through Community Participation Supports. We provide a place to call home, and a nurturing and supportive family environment rich with life experiences for people through Residential Services.
