I bought this excited for a multi-tasking tool. It works well with a lighter but doesn't ignite with flint strikers but does work better when magnesium flakes are in the mixture. However it is still an awesome tool to use in place of para-cord in several applications like lanyards for your survival knife or many others. NOT for life-saving weight bearing applications.
