This tool provides many options for hole size. It is especially helpful to increase an existing hole diameter, because it is essentially self-centering.

got these bits, drilling 3/16 thick metal and 2 of the larger bits would not go through the metal after 1/2'' point. one of them is burnt on that point. so fair is what i rate these

This set seemed like a good buy for the price and had the common sizes I needed. Unfortunately, when I opened the bit box, the pieces fell out because the box that's supposed to hold them in place is cheaply made and doesn't hold them tight in place. But worse yet was the font of the step sizes---nearly impossible to read! Maybe if they used white ink instead of the gold? But regardless of color the font size is difficult at best to read without a pair of readers!

Don't waste your money. The 2 bigger bits were worthless after a week. If you're a HVAC or electrical technician stay away.

This step drill bit set is hard to beat. We've had no problems at all with any of these. They drill through pretty much anything, and they stand up to pressure. I don't use them as much as my boys but son 1 has even used them at work and the guys on his crew have asked about where he got them, so even they were impressed. We've had a couple of high end sets, and I'd have to say that these stand up to any we've tried. I'd recommend them.

These step drills work great. It is good to have drills, all in one, thatwill drill various thicknesses of metal.

Liked that it has no issues with drilling through just about anything. Dislike, bits come out of place in box. No biggie.

Great set of drill bits for thin materials. They start well. Each bit has markings to show the various sizes but they are faint. Suitable for thin metal and plastic. Haven't tried them in wood. Overall pleased with this product.

The step drill bits are really good quality and work great! Perfect for a variety of jobs and good to keep in the toolbox! Nice case keeps them organized and from getting misplaced.

But are even more useful in a set. Often when yo need a large hole, you have to start out small and work up. It's nice to have a set of different bits to work up to the eventual hole sizes - sometimes it takes more than one bit. This kit has every size you would need, spread across multiple tools for just the right application. Recommended
