Excellent game even more if you love GOT universe. Maester cards and character cards add a lot of depth and as far as I know is pretty balanced. The only con I would remark is the fact it lacks some army pieces if you are planning to conquer all westerosessos, but in any case you can solve this issue using army pieces of other houses or from other Risks games.

Great quality, but not enough pieces, like almost not enough to play, the old risk had three units with the value of 1/3/5 where this only has two units value 1/3 and just plain not enough!!

Having played the regular Game of Thrones Board Game, I can say that this game better suits what I love about strategy games. It gets straight into war and focuses on war only. It plays like your typical risk game with newly added mechanics that can change up the battle and invasion. Although it's a good game, it needed a few house rules for my group to truly find it balanced but once we found its sweet spot, the game became the perfect Risk game we have played. The house rules are the only reason I deducted a star, the base game is a solid 4. Ps. Don't play with victory points, play total domination

Really learned the game of thrones map from playing this. The “short” game is my preferred way to play, but there is also a long more intense game. Definitely a shortage of troop pieces but you can make do.

Wow, where to start. Double sided game board, sea ports, castles. They all play a part in the game of thrones. Character cards, defensive/offensive boost for the advanced gamer.

LOVE, LOVE this game!! Our whole family and some of my sons friends all love playing this one. I will say that I echo a common thought with a lot of other reviewers...it needs more army pieces. So much so that we actually bought a 2nd one so that we have enough pieces when playing but that's a personal choice. But love that in a world of social media and video games my crew will still slow down enough to play this board game.

Best game ever!!! This is different from the traditional game of RISK but if you are a Game of Thrones fan AND a RISK fan it's so much fun and so competitive! I love playing with my brothers!!
