Causes: Civil Rights, Crime & Law

Mission: To collaboratively problem-solve challenges impacting anti-trafficking stakeholders through research and data collection.

Results: We hosted the 2016 Pilot Study for 12 stakeholder groups and collected data from respondents representing 47 states and 70 countries. We identified and documented many unresolved challenges impacting different stakeholder groups. We also proved the efficacy of our work and the need to reach a larger number of stakeholders in future research. In 2018, we hosted the Lingering Medical Symptoms Pilot Study through our "Equip and Empower Overcomers" program. Through this study, we had 27 sex trafficking survivors from 15 states confirm more than 70 lingering medical ailments that impact their daily lives. The data collected in this study will contribute towards medical questions asked to survivors and healthcare professionals on the upcoming National Outreach Survey.

Target demographics: Identify and document unresolved challenges impacting more than 23 anti-trafficking stakeholder groups across the globe.

Direct beneficiaries per year: We have collaborated with more than 50 stakeholders across 22 countries and gained valuable feedback from more than 30 sex and labor trafficking survivors. United Against Slavery is built by stakeholders on behalf of other stakeholders.

Geographic areas served: Global

Programs: Access to participate in the National Outreach Survey every two years and utilize the data through more than 50 reports and our online open-source database.
