Causes: Federated Giving Programs, Philanthropy

Mission: The raising of funds in carlsbad and south eddy county, new mexico, for agencies in said area carrying on charitable, benevolent, health, and welfare work; to improve people's lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities and to impact the community thereby; uniting as far as possible all the financial campaigns of non-profit charitable, benevolent, health, and welfare organizations; the distribution of the funds so raised among the participating non-profit organizations; protecting the citizens of the area against solicitors for unworthy, inefficient, or unnecessary charitable appeals; and to have and exercise all powers conforming to the laws of the state of new mexico upon non-profit corporations formed under the laws pursuant to and under which the corporation is formed as such laws are in effect or may at any time thereafter be amended.

Programs: Distributions and allocations providing financial support to participating local 501(c)(3) organization in carlsbad, new mexico and south eddy county qualifying for funding under united way's participating agency funding guidelines, requirements and obligations.
