Programs: Uwsw awards grants to organizations that have measurable goals and outcomes that align with our education, health and basic needs initiatives that serve residents in lincoln, sublette, sweetwater, and uinta counties, wyoming. Workplace giving is the single largest area of support to the annual united way of southwest wyoming campaign. Donations are also received from corporations, small businesses and individuals.

uwsw launched the program dolly partons imagination library in southwest wyoming in 2010.This program mails a free, age appropriate book every month to children from birth to age 5 that live in lincoln, sweetwater and uinta counties. Currently, 2,543 children are enrolled with 2,877 having graduated from the program. This is part of our education initiative to help children be kindergarten ready. The cost is about $35 per child per year. The dollywood foundation pays for the books. Our job is to raise the funds for the shipping of the books, promote the program and to maintain the database by registering children and approving online registrations.

uwsw also organizes an annual golf tournament and goat-a-gram to support dolly partons imagination library. Funds are raised through sponsorships and participant fees. Each august, helping hands day is organized. This event recruits hundreds of volunteers to complete improvement projects for people in need and other non-profit organizations. These projects, typically one day events, are completed by company teams and individuals who sign up with their families. Sponsorships are available and provide t-shirts for volunteers and supplies for the projects. Through sponsorships and ticket sales, a yearly celebration event is held to thank the donors and volunteers that make united way successful.
