Mission: Our mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities in Washington County. We do this when we recruit and collaborate with people, organizations, and businesses to identify critical local needs and raise funds annually to invest in the local programs and services that are addressing those needs and having a positive impact in washington county. Particular attention is focused on programs addressing education, health, and financial stability, . We address individuals' emergency needs with the service of 2-1-1 Southwest PA

Direct beneficiaries per year: 36 local programs focused on health, education, and financial stability through our Community Impact Fund

Programs: Distribution of public support to partner agencies whose purposes are to elevate community health, welfare, and education. Strategic partnerships - established partnerships between united ways whereby resources, capabilities, and core competencies are combined to pursue mutual interests. The United Way of Washington County coordinates an extensive donor designation campaign, accepting contributions and distributing them locally, regionally, and nationally. Donor designation allows donors to direct their contributions to agencies and issues about which they care deeply.
