Programs: Community investments: for many years, united way of windham county funded agency programs which provided direct services to community members who needed them. However, a new model for determining which programs to fund was implemented in 2010.Funding decisions are now based on a set of target outcomes which were identified though a comprehensive community participation process. Working under the "impact areas, " of hope - health opportunity, prosperity and education, community volunteers review applications for support and recommend specific amounts of program funding based on criteria that include alignment with desired program outcomes and quality.
