Mission: Universal Health Care Action Network (UHCAN) of Ohio is dedicated to carrying the voices of consumers to inform health care decisions and promote access to affordable, quality healthcare for everyone.

Target demographics: UHCAN Ohio helps consumers have a voice in health care policy decisions to assure that everyone has access to affordable, quality health care

Direct beneficiaries per year: UHCAN Ohio helped prevent a freeze of health care coverage for those who depend on Medicaid. UHCAN Ohio worked with partners to provide almost 900 comments to the consumers opposing harmful changes to Medicaid. Our comments on an Ohio Department of Insurance proposal that would have increased the number of uninsured, contributed to its denial. UHCAN Ohio helped prevent the repeal of the patient protections in the Affordable Care Act
