Mission: Upstate international exists to empower people and businesses of all nations to thrive in the upstate by connecting them through programs, events, and initiatives that foster the dynamic exchange of international cultures and ideas.

Programs: Cultural programs, such as salsa at sunset which showcases live latin music and dancing on main street, allow our community to engage in global experiences right here in south carolina. Events are open to the public, bringing together a diverse population for family-friendly fun and include such offerings as beaujolais nouveau, gluehwein party, global humanitarian lunch and learns, and religious traditions.

language program-language classes led by native speakers in english (for non-english speakers), french, german, italian, japanese, mandarin, portugese, spanish, and other languages upon request. Additionally interpretation and translation services are provided in any language needed.

dedicated to fostering a deep understanding of global affairs and cultures, and supported by individuals and businesses, upstate international engages globally-minded south carolinians directly with each other and with elected officials, civic leaders, and professionals from around the world through the world affairs council.
