I ordered because I dropped a small hairpin down the drain. The size is perfect. However, it is so flimsy that you can’t control the line enough to maneuver the magnet to the direct area needed.

I dropped a tap into a NV3500 transmission an thought the worse for it. This magnet snaked alongside the case and curled to the bottom where I thought it may have been.I was very surprised and lucky to have retrieved it on the first try.

This is the most amazing magnet ever!!!! If you happen to drop a bolt down a coolant intake in your vehicle.... this will definitely retrieve it. Batteries fall down your sink because you had no stopper on it, no problem for this handy tool! Definitely recommend! Great buy!

This is the tool that saved the day. I dropped a hex bit down the oil filter passages of a Jaguar XF 3.0 engine while removing the oil filter assembly to replace a base gasket. After finding the bit with a borescope, I had to get it out. I ordered 3 different magnetic pickup tools despite already having 3 on hand, because all of mine had such a big magnet that they would not fit down the oil galleys properly. THIS magnetic pickup tool was the ONLY one that fit, and after some tedious work and terror, I was finally able to get the bit out and proceed with the job without having to pull the engine out of the car to put it on a stand and flip it over which would have taken 2 days. I highly recommend this pickup tool for tight access situations.

I needed a magnet that was smaller in size than the normal pickup magnets or pickup claws. This one fits in a 5 millimeter hole, and the wire is 22 inches long. The small magnet easily lifted my 4 oz weight and easly drug an 8oz weight across the carpet but it could not quite lift 8 oz. Perfect for my use of lifting ball bearings and check valve from the small holes of a floor jack.

This was way better than I was expecting. I had lost a tiny sun visor clip inside the headliner if my car. The replacement visor had a new clip, but I didn’t want the old clip rattling right above my head. I wasn’t sure this was going to be small enough, but the head is tiny and the rod part is adjustable similar to a metal clothes hanger. Took about five seconds to grab the clip even though I couldn’t see it, lost it again before I could get it out, five more seconds and wallah. Kind of pricey for what it is, but I am happy.

This thing has saved my butt a few times.While swapping out my struts on my car lost a nut under a body panel and used this to retrieve it. Due to it's size and length it was the only thing that would work.

This magnet worked great for what we needed it for. It was perfect to fish down into my motor looking for a lost ball bearing from a rocker arm. I bought it for my mechanic and he was very grateful to receive if.

I read the negative reviews about the handle breaking off, so I took a little extra care - no problem. I needed a very small magnet. This was perfect for the small place I had to access - I retrieved the dropped drill bit and saved me hours of deconstruction to retrieve it otherwise (if left in place, it would have rusted and created a big problem)
