The cap. I had problems like others have indicated, where removing the cap can damage the sprayer valve, so must use a screwdriver to pry in the hole of cap to get it off...do it gently.... Trying to knock off the cap like a beer can will damage the valve. The spray valve is very sensitive to cleanliness. 1. must shake the can throughly in order to keep the nozzle from clogging. 2. Must clean off the wet paint at the nozzle after each coat so it doesnt dry on the nozzle. 3. spray first two coats lightly, and it might not cover completely but that is okay. By 3 coat, it can be heavier to the finish you want. I also do a light sanding after 3rd coat before I do final 4th coat. Yes, its a pain, but the finish can be really good. It drys fast and patience counts. The only thing I worry about is scratch resistance of the black gloss paint. I will have to let is harden for a couple of days before heavy handling.

Did a great job on my 20yr old weber. Have had the temp to 500f to sear and saw no problems with the paint finish. Would buy and use again.

I have used MANY VHT paints but the Gloss white has been an issue with me for 4 cans. 2 cans don't spray out at all, and the other two spray out “chunks” and is definitely not a flat nice finish. I do not recommend using the gloss white due to this issue. Ruined my project right away.

I have sprayed our fire ring 4 times and it still looks like I have done a really bad first coat. I have drips everwhere because I cannot tell it is coatting the steel until it dripped.
