I just bought a new toy hauler and the bedroom was getting SUPER HOT while the rest of the rig was warming up. I installed this and on the first night closed it completely and it worked perfectly. We were able to sleep comfortably in the room and the rest of the trailer was the same temperature.

My RV has significantly different lengths of heating ductwork. This results in radically greater air flow between the registers close to the furnace from those much farther away. Our furnace was in our bedroom which would quickly overheat while the kitchen at the other end of our trailer would be easily 20 degrees lower. Replacing our bedroom register with one of these made a huge difference in reducing airflow into the bedroom and increasing airflow in the kitchen. Now no more than about a 5 degree temperature difference between the rooms.Overall, these registers do the job. I only give them four stars overall for two reasons. They are a bit noisy when the lovers are fully closed (which still lets some air through), and the design of the louver levers that protrude from the front earns zero stars. With our registers close to the floor the levers are frequently getting bumped and opening back up. Horrible lever design.

Easy to install. I modified mine for a custom project and were easy to cut with a dremel on low speed. The louvers don't seal the hole completely though so some air will leak by.

We needed a vent cover that would close off because the vent blows right onto the side of the toilet. While installing it, we had to screw the duct hose into this to keep it from sliding off. The material is pretty flimsy and hard to keep the faceplate on. It does pretty much close off the heater air flow.

Worked perfectly to add a heat vent in the bathroom of my Jayco travel travel. I used a Y fitting from a woodworking dust collection system and a flexible dryer vent hose.

Vent to RV basement was wide open, allowing too much of my heat to go downstairs. Changed to this dampered vent so I can regulate as needed.

Some of the reviews complained these were not good vents but I believe they are described correctly. They have two levers that increase or decrease flow volume. They never completely shut off as there is a small amount of air that can always get by the two doors. The most difficult part of install was snapping the two halves back together on either side of the panel. The tolerances were so tight I struggled to get the third latching point snapped in. Will give them a try to see how durable it will be.
