The headline says it all.Prior to this my wife had great difficulty with the original cap due to hand strength issues. Levers designed to make and break the sewer hose connections are too large to work on the original cap.This product solved her problem. She could even put a stick through the handle if more leverage was needed.(And, if you're asking why SHE is doing this job, it's because she INSISTS!)

Sometimes, it's possible that one might forget to close a holding tank valve after dumping, or that it wasn't closed quite all the way, or maybe the valve leaks. Imagine that the default black cap is installed on the sewer pipe, and the RV tanks are then filled with stuff through normal use. It's not pleasant to remove the cap when preparing the next dump session to be splashed with holding tank contents.This Valterra cap is transparent, so if anything IS lurking in the pipe behind the cap, at least you know it before removing the cap. It has a garden hose outlet, so relieving any such backload could be managed at least somewhat easier. The garden hose outlet could potentially be used to offload gray water in places where that is permitted. The handle is very rugged and easy to grip, making cap removal and installation easier. It has 4 bayonet slots to securely grip the sewer pipe outlet.

I use this to check for water surprises rather than just pulling the cap. Unscrew the hose cap and you'll know if you have residual behind the curtain.

So this is a big improvement over the standard black cap the RV came with. That thing was so hard to unscrew I tore the the bracket holding the waste pipe on, and the camco plastic wrenches had nothing to grab onto. The big handle makes this a breeze to get on and off, and the clear plastic lets me know if I need to be ready for any liquid in the pipe. I don't know what the little port in the cap is for, but I guess it doesn't hurt.Even if the clear plastic proves to be more brittle than the opaque black and needs to be replaced periodically I'll count that as well worth it.

I hated the cap on our campers sewer line. It was always a pain in the ass to get it off. This cap is great solid and sturdy for 5 minutes to swap out it has the lanyard so you don't have to worry about losing it. The handle makes it so easy to pop off and the hose port for back flushing is a big big plus. Don't mess around with crap get this cap LOL.

Love this handled valve cover. I was concerned when I read some reviews indicating that the handle broke while opening the black tank outlet. I found that if I make sure each side of the handle is held with each hand, removal is very easy and generates an even pressure on the handle. It is so much easier to remove from the black tank outlet than the usual cap configuration. Excellent product, so I bought a spare in case I ever leave one behind at a campsite.

My RV had the hardest to remove valve caps. Now with the handles it is easy to take off and put back on. Stop the colorful language and grunting and get these.

Because the location of my RC discharge pipe is so low to the ground, and because I have a touch of arthritis...it was hard for me to twist off the usual valve cap that comes standard. This is a game changer for me. The large, easy-to-grip handle makes twisting it on and off a breeze. I also like the added feature of having a standard garden hose connection on the device so that you could easily drain grey water into any appropriate place without having to hook up your standard stinky slinky. My wife couldn't open our old cap the other day when she went camping with our daughter - even though I had sprayed a lubricant on the teeth to make it easier to open. So I went and tried to open it after she got back thinking she was just trying to find a way out of emptying the gray/black tanks - but I also struggled with that cap, so I went online and bought this new cap with the easy handle to twist open and close. It works exactly like you think it should, simply grab the handle and twist to open it or close it. way way easier!
