This is what Cummins tells us owners to use. The 3 Gallon pack is the perfect amount for an oil change.

I've tried Rotella T6 5W40 besides this Valvoline 10W30 and the Valvoline offers better MPGs. This Valvoline also offers less emissions smell and the engine operates smoother. My truck has 33K miles and I'll stick with the Valvoline Blue 10W30 which is what Cummins recommends for this engine along with Donaldson Oil Filters which are the very best you can get.

Great purchase and value if you have a diesel especially a Cummins. First oil change was done with Shell Rotella T6, which gave me no issues. But I don't drive my truck a lot so occasionally after sitting it would be a lil noisy on startup. With this oil my trick can sit for a month and have zero noise on startup which is great if you know anything about the noise some of these Cummins make or diesels in general. Performs great as I have no oil loss when conducting visual and mechanical checks of my truck. Like all oil changes it's pretty straight forward and easy to utilize. Definitely will purchase again when needed.

I had always used Amsoil in my F350 but then immediately after changing my oil the last time my truck started the dreaded typewriter tick. A mechanic friend of mine told me to switch to this oil and sure enough after changing the oil the tick was gone.

As a lifetime user of Valvoline products in both my daily drivers and race cars, it was a no-brainer to choose their Premium Blue diesel oil in my RAM 2500 with the Cummins engine. I use the 15W-40 here in SoCal because it rarely gets cold enough to require winter weather oils. What's great is that it comes in a package of three 1-gallon jugs - exactly the right amount for a Cummins 6.7 oil change!

Have used many oils in the past and found that this oil is the best for my Cummings diesel. Been using the product now for three years with no issues within the engine. It seems my mileage increased 1.5 miles per gallon using this oil. I highly recommend to use in any Cummins diesel.
