Mission: Dedicated to enriching the lives of children with physical or developmental special needs and their families.

Target demographics: Variety serves Wisconsin children with physical and developmental special needs, 21 years of age and younger and whose needs are not met by other sources, including family, school, insurance and service program resources.

Direct beneficiaries per year: In 2021, Variety provided 61 grants for mobility equipment and life-enriching services to children through our Freedom Program and hosted 1,285 people in our Discover Program. Through the Care Program, we were able to reach an additional 500 children.

Programs:
The Variety Freedom Program encompasses mobility, communications and experiences. The Freedom Program helps children with physical disabilities gain mobility, confidence, independence and access by funding mobility and other enabling equipment.

The Variety Discover Program focuses on education, experiences and play by providing fun, free family outings. Supported through ticket donations and generous sponsors, Variety families enjoy trying new experiences and making new friends. It's part of our vision that Variety children can actively participate and experience the joys of childhood.
The Variety Care Program partners with agencies delivering specific supportive services to children with physical or developmental special needs and their families. Working together, we improve the health, wellness, and quality of life for children. Our partners include LifeStriders, HEAR Wisconsin, Independence First, and Go Baby Go. Through the Care Program, Variety has reached an additional 500 families.
Chatter Matters! Communication Camp is a residential camp for children who use speech generating devices and their entire family to become better communicators in a fun, traditional camp setting.
