Mission: Ventures empowers individuals with limited resources and unlimited potential to improve their lives through small business ownership. Founded in 1995, we have adapted the Grameen model-a microfinance model that makes small loans to groups of disadvantaged women-to the Puget Sound region and the business landscape in the United States, providing business training, financial support, and resources tailored to low-income entrepreneurs. We are a certified Community Development Financial Institution and a Small Business Administration Microloan Program Intermediary lender. Ventures is a national leader in microenterprise development, offering effective programming, sustainable operations, and innovative growth strategies to create an always-increasing impact on our community. Prior to the spring of 2015, Ventures was known as Washington Community Alliance for Self-Help (CASH).

Ventures is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 1996, and donations are tax-deductible.
