I ordered this for my husband for his birthday and he just used it the first time. He said it was easy to install for those with a little mechanical knowledge. It works as advertised and kept him from having to call a buddy to load his first deer for the year. The deer pictured was 100 lbs for reference.

We like the fact that this lift fits into the same hole as the trailer hitch so it’s easy to install and operate. It makes loading heavy game animals into the truck much easier and enables one person to do so alone while out hunting. My husband always had to call someone to help him especially with a bear.

The initial review was bad but I later learned that it was due to the hitch receiver’s (on my side by side) location. It actually functions very well but do make sure and pay attention to depth of hitch.

This allowed me to unload a 260 pound generator from my 2023 Ridgeline by myself with ease. Also worked well to load it again. This would help with loading other heavy items alone as well.

We bought this to get our heavy generator into the back of our pickup truck when we go camping. It is still a two person job (although one could maybe do it) but it is so much safer now with almost no lifting needed. It was easy to assemble out of the box. Once assembled we practiced with it a bit to make sure we understood how to work the crank mechanism safely. But after that we were good to go. It is built to perfectly fit so that the tailgate can open and it lifts just high enough to clear the bed. It is very well made and sturdy. We highly recommend.

Put it together amp; tried it on a few items. Have to be careful because it can be tippy, amp; item might fall off pallet.

Great idea, but unfortunately, this lift is not designed to work with a Polaris Ranger XP 1000. The receiver connection is too short. Even with a receiver extension tube it would not work because the upright tube that the platform is raised on is also too short to raise the platform above the tailgate. Even with the tailgate removed, the upright tube is too short to allow the platform to raise above the bed height. Likewise, the lift would not work on my 2022 Chevrolet 2500HD because of the short upright tube. Additional issues are the installation of the wench is difficult as described in other reviews and a minor design change could address this issue. The wench is of low quality and the steel cable is way too long. This should also be addressed in design and manufacturing. The entire unit is very sloppy in the receiver and "wobbles" excessively, especially when the receiver extension had to be used to extend the receiver tube.
