Soo after having used this only a small number of times, my husband dropped it, then I dropped it again the next day. Between the two of us we've almost obliterated the plastic bottom that it sits on when you set it down upright. With how many pieces have broken out of the plastic, it's a miracle the iron still sits up without wiggle. I was worried that we broke the thing without having gotten hardly any use out of it. But neither of those accidents seem to have impaired the iron's function, which is impressive! The controls are straightforward. Each heat setting will display a number and also the kind of fabric it's intended for. Foolproof. I'm not a quilter or anything fancy like that - for basic household use though I think this iron is perfect.Only complaint I have is that the latch for the water compartment will pop open on its own (and that's before the accidents!) I'm withholding one star because of that. With the way the water inlet is designed though, I haven't had any leaks - to the point where I am actively using the iron with the water compartment full, ironing and setting it down multiple times, and the only reason I notice the lid has popped open again is because I happen to look there. That really speaks to the thought that was put into this product.Note: Definitely only use distilled water. First time around I didn't have any in the house so I used regular water. We have very hard water where I live. I ironed for a while, then got interrupted and when I got back to it hours later the steam function would expel visible white hard water residue onto the clothes. Not doing that again.
