Mission: The mission of the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center is to inspire conservation of the marine environment through education, research and sustainable practices. Since our doors opened in 1986, we've been inspiring guests at the Virginia Aquarium through interactive, hands-on exhibits, programming and offsite, mission-based programs throughout southeast Virginia.

Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, with an IRS ruling year of 1983, and donations are tax-deductible.
