Mission: Virginia german shepherd rescue is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of the german shepherd dog (and sometimes other breeds/mixes). The rescue provide a safe haven for german shepherds who have been abandoned in shelters, surrendered by their owners, or who have been the victims of abuse and neglect. The rescue strives to place each dog into a stable, loving, permanent home.

Programs: The rescue placed 256 dogs in 2014.The rescue takes in dogs from various situations and rehabilitates them to good health before the dogs are placed into loving homes. Dogs who can not be placed immediately into foster homes or permanent homes are provided temporary housing in shelters. The rescue pays for the shelter & boarding fees.
