Causes: Education, Scholarships, Scholarships & Student Financial Aid

Mission: Vision: Our vision is to encourage high school students to earn a 2-year or 4-year degree. We intend to inspire graduating seniors to think beyond the now and look towards a positive college experience and a brighter future. Goal: Our goal is to identify a high school graduate who desires to invest his or her time and commitment to earn a college degree. We are looking for a high school graduate who wants to change his or her life circumstances, demonstrate persistence; exhibit good study habits, and meet deadlines without excuses. The candidate does not have to rank at the top of the class, but must demonstrate the tenacity to start and finish college or any post-secondary institute. Mission: Our mission is to provide financial support ($500-$2000) to college-bound high school students who demonstrate a determination to start and finish college. Qualification:High school recipients must:
•Have a GPA of 2.5 or better
•Demonstrate perseverance and academic improvement in grades.
•Have an acceptance letter from a community college, university, or a vocational training school.
•Have two recommendations from either a school, church, community program, or employer

Results: For four consecutive years, a student has received a book scholarship from the Virginia Pinnock Scholarship Fund. We are incredibly proud of Yaritza Medina, who is our first college graduate in May of 2020, from Eastern Connecticut State University.

Target demographics: Graduating high school seniors enter college for the first time prepared with all the books he or she would need.
