Mission: Volunteers for Veterans Foundation provides emergency financial assistance to veterans and active military personal. We help with rent, utilities, food and gas. We help provide this assistance to those who are in transition to civilian life and awaiting VA benefits. Volunteers for Veterans Foundation provides support to the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System, thought the Voluntary Service Dept. All funds donated are used to help our Veterans and active Military in some way. The government is providing first-class medical care for our wounded soldiers, but it will never be able to provide all of what they deserve and so many services desperately needed by their families. The Volunteers for Veterans Foundation is ran by all volunteers. The Veterans Car Show is produced by the Volunteers for Veterans Foundation, and is our largest fund raiser .
Results: 2017has been a busy year for our Foundation. We were able to support approximate 250 individual Veterans with emergency assistance for a total of around $70,000.VFVF was also able to provide support for 100 Veterans moving into the HUD Vach housing program. This program provides rental assistance for homeless Veterans. VFVF provided these families with Welcome Home Boxes to give them a hand in setting up their new home. Thank you, Fontana Foundation of Hope for helping to sponsor this program. This is just a small example of some of the things that we were able to do this year. We would like to acknowledge two of our larger supporters for their help in making our programs possible: Charity Auto Donations and San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. We would also like to thank everyone that helps to make it possible for our Foundation to continue supporting our Veterans.
