Thank goodness for Betty Hernandez, who explained in her review how to register a SN5107 handset to the SN5127 phone. Follow the directions in the set-up guide, but after pressing you have to press the down arrow. I wasted an hour trying different things. The user manual and set-up guide for the phone also omit that crucial detail. So far the handset itself is working fine for my very hard-of-hearing 92-year-old mother, and she likes having all 4 of her children on speed dial. She has cognitive impairment (not dementia) and there is no way she could have set up the phone herself, but I expected that. At age 68 it took me about 4 hours. A 15-year-old might have done it in 40 minutes, but entering names for the speed dial numbers requires a knowledge of old-style texting (press once for A, twice for B, etc.), so hah.
