Mission: Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) helps people of all ages and backgrounds overcome emotional, physical, social, and cognitive challenges so they can lead their best lives. Founded in 1943, it has grown to be the largest provider of licensed outpatient community mental health services and one of the largest human service agencies in Westchester county. We provide state-of-the-art programs and services and compassionate care to more than 20,000 people of all ages and backgrounds throughout Westchester. Our highly trained staff provide evidence-based mental health and trauma treatment to adults and children in individual and group settings, 24/7 care to disabled adults living in our thirteen group homes, supportive programming for LGBTQ+ youth, geriatric care and resources to seniors so they can age safely in the comfort of their homes, early childhood development enrichment education for young children and their parents, advocacy, supportive services, and social activities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and cultural, educational, counseling, and spiritual programming for the Jewish community.

Results: WJCS serves 20,000 Westchester residents each year and has 88+ programs including those focusing on mental health, trauma, autism and other disabilities, Alzheimer's, early literacy, LGBTQ+, geriatric care, caregiver assistance, and Jewish cultural, educational, and spiritual programming. WJCS is the largest provider of outpatient community-based mental health services in Westchester County, launched the first and still the only center for LGBTQ+ youth in Westchester. is at the forefront of treating trauma, has 13 group homes for disabled adults, has 200+ active volunteers, and provides educational workshops and community trainings that include Mental Health First Aid, vicarious trauma trainings, LGBTQ trainings, and much more.

Target demographics: WJCS offers individuals with developmental disabilities a range of clinical and residential services to enable them to reach their highest potential. Group residences in convenient communities and supervised apartments for high functioning young adults foster independence and socialization.
