We use these packets in a compact 5 gal portable toilet and they are PERFECT. One tab is overkill for the small size of the toilet, but does exactly what it says - breaks materials down, controls smell, and keeps the holding tank somewhat clean. Much easier than carrying liquid cleaners around and a bag lasts us 10 trips.

I'm on my 3rd bag so I figured I should leave a review. I've bought these to go camping and absolutely love them. We keep a portable toilet in our tent in case we need to use it in the middle of the night or early in the mornings and these never disappoint: they smell great and mask of the smell of pee without a problem. We usually change the toilet bag once a day but the smell lasts much longer. We never go camping without them

I use this in a small portable camping porta potty. I cut the pack in half and use about 2 teaspoons of the granules in the porta potty and it works well for that small tank. Neutralizes odors very well.

First time in five years that I have found a product we appreciate as campers using our travel porta potty. It breaks down the waste (except some flushable wipes) making it super easy to empty at sanitation station. We use our little potty in a separate shower tent while camping (4 kids and who wants to walk to the outhouse in the middle of the night?!) and this product is a keeper. All others we have tried may have had a more citrus smell, but it was hard emptying out the waste not broken down. By the way, it had me rate softness. Ummm....totally not a quality I was looking for in this product. It's not like we were using them as pillows

Staying in a camper, the smell from the black tank can be very unpleasant. One of these little pods dropped into the toilet and flushed stops the odor. We empty our black tank once a week and always put a pod in after.
