After draining black water holding tank, a gallon or so of fresh water is added with a drop in.Seems to help prevent odor.

Effective Deodorizer with a Strong ScentThe Porta-Pak Holding Tank Deodorizer Drop-Ins by Walex are indeed effective at controlling unpleasant odors, even under extreme temperatures, which is a plus. The commercial strength is evident, and it's great knowing it's made in the USA.However, the fresh fragrance is quite overpowering for me, as I am sensitive to synthetic smells. For those who are not sensitive to fragrances, this product would likely merit a full five stars due to its efficiency in odor control. But, for fragrance-sensitive individuals, a milder scent would be appreciated. Nonetheless, its a great product that does its job well.

Definitely doesn't break down number 2 or toilet paper, so don't get your hopes up for that. Smells nice.

When they say to NOT touch the packets with wet hands, believe them. Don't ask me how I know. These have a very fresh scent that will surely help to mask any off odors and yep, they dissolve super quickly too.
