My dehumidifier is fairly new, so I cannot comment on long term reliability. The dehumidifier worked perfectly out of the box. The pump mechanism was exceptionally easy to set up and has worked seamlessly. I have the unit in a large basement, and it has done an excellent job bringing down the humidity.

This thing is amazing. I recently completely renovated my basement but the damp basement feeling remained. The dehumidifier is easily keeping the humidity down in the 50 range - it started in the high 70s. I'm not using the drain, just emptying the water for now; and it's probably more powerful than I needed for a 2000 sq ft space, but it is working perfectly.

Very effective, noise is really good compared to the other one I returned. The noise is white noise which is really comfortable, just like fan. Although I feel the humidity level shown might be not that accurate, idk

Absolutely perfect in a basement where I am. The state I live in has high humidity and is damp in the basements making mold and mildew a huge growth

Had to have my basement waterproofed, walls and floor were damp and wet all the time. Since we had our basement fixed for water leaks, we have used this dehumidifier and it is dry as a bone. Love it

I got this for my dog room because sometimes they smell. What I figure out: when the light is blue and it smells I need to clean the room/dogs when the light is yellow it's the air! Love it!

I purchased this dehumidifier as a replacement for one of my older ones and I am impressed. It's very quiet and doesn't radiate a lot of heat like my old one did. As far as the difference in my electric bill I haven't had it long enough but it doesn't nearly run as long as the long one and I continue to empty on a daily basis. Also I do wanna make a note when you do receive this in the mail the first thing you have to do is let it stand upright for 24 hours before you set it up. I've read reviews where people are having problems with it and I'm wondering if that was the reason. I hope the review is helpful!

Overall, I am satisfied with this product. It does a good job dehumidifying my soggy house (I live in Louisiana which can be very, very humid in the summer). It is easy to use and easy to empty (I don't use a hose; I carry the container to the sink). It has a nice handle to carry the container and a clear indicator for when it's time to empty it! The only thing that freaked me out a little was my conversation with customer service about not locating it near an open flame. I have a gas stove and a gas furnace. The largest space in my house is an open living room/kitchen/dining area which is where I originally intended to position it. I've put it in the hall instead and that seems to work just fine.

The unit does pull out the moisture in the air as expected. My biggest problem with the unit is it is as loud as my air conditioner unit. Sometimes I'm not sure which is running!

Unit is easy to set up , pulls a lot of water out in a short time.We use this to supplement the HVAC in our lab to control the summer humidity fluctuation. It fills the water tank in 4hours run time in a 20 x 50 space, so we are connecting it to a permanent drain. Works well.

I bought the hOmelabs unit to replace a Frigidare 50 (old 70) pint unit that died after not quit 4 years.This unit dissipates less heat and does a better job of maintaining the humidity in my finished basement.After 28 months (so out of warranty) this unit started icing-up, it was unable to defrost.I contacted hOmelabs chat support and after a short QA Charlotte decided I needed a new unit even though I was out of warranty- how amazing is that?!
