1300 sf home and this dehumidifier lowers the inside humidity from 65 to 50 within an hour. Noise level is not an issue as it is a minimum. Was rated in top three in consumer reports.

Just received this but it appears to be doing a great job. It's also pretty quiet.

We Have 3 Dehumidifiers - 2 are in the, basement. This one was purchased for the master bedroom. Works wonderfully.Doesn't need to run much to bring down the levels a lot. My wife was amazed at how quickly it worked. Operating noise is basically white noise which is actually very easy to sleep with.

It's quiet as far as a dehumidifier can be. I'm using it in the basement. I have an old stone basement and moisture is a big problem. Set this up and an oscillating fan.... Humidity down to 42 from 80

1. I have seen reviews where people complain of too much water. Well...No humidity, no water. Duh.2. Noise level: it could be lower maybe but it uses refrigerant and works like an air conditioner with some extras. Expect the noise of a small window air conditioner.Overall: Good for a room. I use it in my living room and it dropped the humidity by about 5 in about two hours. I rent and I believe my building has a humidifier. As long as my central air is on it drops slowly. If I turn it off humidity drops faster. Yes, it is a good dehumidifier. It does what it needs to do and results vary by environment. No matter the case, humidity levels drop at a speed relative to conditions. Nothing is magical.

For a dehumidifier, this machine is extremely quiet. It pulls buckets of water from my basement, I get at least a bucket a day even on low humidity days (40) in the summer. With the daily use of this item, the air quality has improved significantly, no more musty mouldy smells in my basement!

It's not too big and very easy to empty manually.. plus it has wheels. Going on two weeks I have emptied out an impressive roughly 35 gallons of water from it. I sleep better and breathe better thanks to this device. 100 worth every penny in this southern humidity. It's great all around from looks to functionality. 10/10

Best of several dehumidifiers bought over the years. Amazingly fast in drawing down high humidity resulting from failure of a Honeywell (unit after only one year). Very quiet and effective in keeping large basement dry.

This unit is a nice size, relatively quiet, and has several useful control options. Within 2 days it completely changed the feel and smell of our finished basement. The water reservoir is rather tall and has a carrying handle that makes emptying collected water easy and measles's.

It works so well that I bought two and run them simultaneously. No, I don't have a 7,000 sf home (3500 x 2). One is in my basement. I use the hose to drain it to the floor drain. It is gravity fed. There is no pump. The drain needs to be lower than the unit, obviously. I've found that using a shorter length of hose drains best. The other one is in my 3rd floor home office (formerly an attic). During these humid months SW PA summers, the entire water collection bucket has filled over an 9 hour period. It is effective, but it does throw off some warm/hot air. It isn't exactly quiet, but it also doesn't sound like a jet. It has a removable screen filter. Easy to clean and quick to dry. It does have a Filter indicator that blinks to let you know it's time to clean it. Press the filter light to reset it. This may not seem important, but it is. I already had a dead dehumidifier, thanks to not cleaning the filter enough. I've only been running maybe four months. I'll be able to see if one gets better life than the other. Bottom line, it does what it is supposed to and is a good value. Maybe that will change in the long run.

Let me start with the infoMy Basement is about 1500 Square ft with about 7ft Ceiling, Not really a place to do much but it's a great storage place and enough space to put a small wood shop in.Concrete Slab with Cinder block walls and the propensity to start leaking when a heavy monsoon like thunder storm hits.Buy yourself a dedicated wet dry vac and put what you love on top of Dunnage racks (Plastic or Aluminum). Trust me on this.I have had 2 previous units and I seem to get about 4 years of use out of them running 24x7 365The first 2 units were labeled Frigidaire but are made by Electrolux.Oldest Model 1 FDL50S1 50pints a dayJust died Model 2 FAD704DWD12 70 pints a dayDuring the summer months it's very humid where I live so the units for some reason tend not to use the hose where I have it drain to a sump pump, it just fills up the bucket. Annoying to say the least because I have to take that water and throw it out so the dehumidifier can start doing it's job again due to the bucket is full and it turns off the unit.It would take my previous units about 12 to 15 hours to fill up their internal buckets. This unit averages about 6 hours and the bucket is full. WOW this sucker really gets the job done.So I am emptying the bucket twice a day. Once in the morning and once again before I go to bed or sooner because I am not thinking about the dehumidifier. I've had this unit for just over a month now and so far so good. So it will be interesting as time marches on will it be just as efficient in filling up it's bucket in about 6 hours and or continue to run for the next 4 years. So far I am happy with it, it's doing what it's supposed to, it's more quiet than my previous units but then I don't spend much time in my dungeon err I mean basement unless I am building something and it just sounds like a fan running.
