Works Great

Uses about 400watts when running in dehumidifier mode. Only draws minimal current when waiting to start when the humidity rises. This thing is a workhorse, and will keep your whole house at a desired level of humidity. Expect to dump the water cannister at least twice a day in a humid environment. Works very well.

Let me start with the infoMy Basement is about 1500 Square ft with about 7ft Ceiling, Not really a place to do much but it's a great storage place and enough space to put a small wood shop in.Concrete Slab with Cinder block walls and the propensity to start leaking when a heavy monsoon like thunder storm hits.Buy yourself a dedicated wet dry vac and put what you love on top of Dunnage racks (Plastic or Aluminum). Trust me on this.I have had 2 previous units and I seem to get about 4 years of use out of them running 24x7 365The first 2 units were labeled Frigidaire but are made by Electrolux.Oldest Model 1 FDL50S1 50pints a dayJust died Model 2 FAD704DWD12 70 pints a dayDuring the summer months it's very humid where I live so the units for some reason tend not to use the hose where I have it drain to a sump pump, it just fills up the bucket. Annoying to say the least because I have to take that water and throw it out so the dehumidifier can start doing it's job again due to the bucket is full and it turns off the unit.It would take my previous units about 12 to 15 hours to fill up their internal buckets.This unit averages about 6 hours and the bucket is full. WOW this sucker really gets the job done.So I am emptying the bucket twice a day. Once in the morning and once again before I go to bed or sooner because I am not thinking about the dehumidifier. I've had this unit for just over a month now and so far so good. So it will be interesting as time marches on will it be just as efficient in filling up it's bucket in about 6 hours and or continue to run for the next 4 years.So far I am happy with it, it's doing what it's supposed to, it's more quiet than my previous units but then I don't spend much time in my dungeon err I mean basement unless I am building something and it just sounds like a fan running.

Very happy with this purchase. Ran it for a week and got tired of emptying the drain bucket several times a day. Attached a hose drain, powered it on in the regular mode and it has been humming ever since. Dropped the basement humidity level over 20!

This is the 3rd dehumidifier I've owned in the last 16 years. The last one I had that everyone raved about was a Frigidaire. After four years it began freezing up. It obviously didn't live up to all the hype it received. This unit bar far is the best I've ever owned and I would highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed!

I just recently moved into this condo and noticed humidity levels were pretty high. 70 or bit higher. This sparked frequent asthma attacks. I searched many dehumidfiers to put in my small condo. I am used to having ones for basements and not inside my home so I was not sure about any of the choices. After going through may choices, searching info about them, I settled with this one. It was exactly what I needed.

This thing works great. I should have bought a larger capacity, bc we have to empty it out 3-4 times a day bc of so much humidity in our apartment.

the noise Is very loud. But the efficiency is good.

Very quiet. Easy setup with hose connection. I like the digital humidity readout.The one concern I always have with dehumidifier's is longevity. I have had some bad luck in the past. First time with this brand. Gave a try due to positive CR rating of reliability and customer satisfaction.

Just received this new humidifier last week and so far it's working very well! Dried out our basement within a couple of days.

Easy to use.

I like that is pulls a lot of moisture from the air, but it does seem to have a tight differential setting. It will shut off at the set level of humidity but immediately start again.

This dehumidifier is easy to use, has helped to dry my home, and the noise is barely noticeable.

We live on a clay hill in NC where the humidity feels markedly different than my ancestral TX. The old dehumidifier - in the crawl space under the house - the previous owner left expired. A humidity meter (hygrometer, if you prefer) which I hung near to the machine had been reading around 58 rose to 78 . Had this brand in the house, was pleased, so purchased a larger one as replacement. The machine runs quietly and reports the humidity to be 50 which is basically supported by the nearby independent meter. I am happy and would recommend it use.

Outlet checked, instructions followed, but unit never turned on after coming out of the box.

Seems well built and is reasonably quite. Using in the basement hooked up to a hose. Seems to work well although may be a bit too small. The basement is right around 1000 sq. ft.

Needs to be emptied twice a day under relatively humid conditions. May wish to consider attaching a hose for automatic draining.

I like the automatic turn off when the bucket is full and that it is Energy Star rated.
