Does what it is designed to do. Hardest part was aligning the holes for the screws and then getting the screws started.

Purchased this skimmer door to replace mine that broke, and it is perfect. My original door had a part number stamp of 8650-4. The new door is listed as part number 8650-002. All I had to was unsnap the door and flip it around on the attachment plate. The hardest part was trying to hit the screw heads with a stubby Phillips screwdriver under water.I don't understand the science going on in the skimmer but it simply does not work well without the door in place. Replace yours if it's broke. $13 and 10 minutes of work is a small price to have a clean pool.

Exact fit, please don't throw away your stainless screw that held on the old one because it does not come with one.

Fits good. But tends to end up flat to the surface. Seems it doesn't have enough floating capacity. The water flow over it tends to overcome. May I installed backwards? shrug

Fits my Hayward skimmer perfectly. Install was easy...hardest part was getting the old unit out as it was broken off and in pieces so hard to get a grip on it.

This weir is absolutely perfect. It fits exactly as it should and was easily installed using a Philips head screwdriver and a little silicone putty to attach the mounting screw (saved from the prior weir) to the driver's tip. And the price is excellent. Thank you!

Skimmer door was exact fit. I had to file some parting line away because the door would get stuck open on the parting line flash, but after filing, door works perfectly.

I had to install these in cold weather, so it was upside down, outside the pool. They arrived with the doors facing the wrong way for the two screw holes already in place. I guess I could have popped them out and turned them around, but I did not want to break anything. They work extremely well, even installed backward. I let someone make me believe these doors were unnecessary after they broke them during a pool renovation. I spent 6 months with a messy pool surface. Get these doors! They work well.
