Mission: Wayfinder schools offer students the experience necessary to discover their strengths and skills, connect with their families, practice personal responsibility, contribute to their communities, and earn a high school diploma.

Programs: Wayfinder schools is an alternative high school serving 80 maine youth each year. Wayfinder schools offer two core programs: a residential program for at-risk youth and a home-based high school diploma program for teen parents. Both programs focus on academic and life skills. Students in both programs consistently report increased confidence, life skills, job skills, community connection and work-readiness. In recent years more than 70% of graduates have pursued post-secondary education and technical training programs and more than 80% have secured part or full-time employment within six weeks of graduation. residential program students live on campus for a nine-month academic term while focused on five core areas: academics, life skills, job skills, service learning and experiential learning expeditions.

students in the passages program for teen parents receive individualized instruction in their own homes. Passages students focus on 24 core requirements related to academics, life skills and parenting skills.
