Soo I bought this to retrieve balls I lost in the water. Not only am I getting my ball but at least 5 more with mine everytime. I love playing golf but also hate paying for everything. This gives me the opportunity to not have to pay for balls ever again. Only negative is that the black rubber cap on the end came off. I would suggest pulling it off and super gluing it when it comes in.

Lost my Tilia ball retriever. Bought this as a replacement. This has a soft plastic head the tilia had a solid composite head. I think it will work ok but a bit concerned about durability.

My buddies are jealous at just how compact and effective this little gem is. It is truly compact...fits in one of the pockets on the side of my golf bag. This is the second one I have bought...I lost the first one. See, I'd buy it again! Stay in the fairway and you will rarely use it, but help your buddies when they put their ball in the water.

I have had this product for several years and keep it in the side of my bag. I play a course several times a year with an island green where this comes in quite handy. It's easy to use and sturdy enough if you don't try to hit your friends or take their snacks with it and only use for the intended purpose. It grabs the golf ball very easily in my experience and I often end up taking more balls home than I came with.

Most important, it is easy to use. Just rest on top of submerged ball and lightly drag toward you. Flip it over, and voila.Collapses easily into a short stick easily stored in any golf bag.Addressing other comments:Hold the end cap button in when collapsing the shaft.If you fully engage the shaft sections nearest the retriever, they will snug up and you can hold the retriever in a shortened position (at that location) without fully engaging all the segments.Take an extra second if something seems stuck. Brute force is no friend to lightweight plastic.Wishes:A longer shaft would, occasionally, be beneficial

Nice unit. Instead of having a ball retriever taking up space with your clubs, this fits easily in a side pocket. The ball grabbing design works very well. It is easier to use than my last one that had a spring mechanism. The plastic handle is a bit flimsy, but works well enough. When you hit a shot in the water, go get your ball, and four more!

I've used this about 4 times for 18 holes play. Each visit, I've able to claim about 30 balls when not busy time, almost 1/3 of the balls that I claimed out are Pro V1 or V1X lol. It is already reached my investment at the 2nd visit!Every time after used this in the water, I felt dirt or debri are being stuck between the shafts, using running water to clear them out to reduce unfortunate force to use it for later.

We tried and returned several other ball retrievals until we finally found this one. It works!! We have water on many holes at our club, and my balls like to get wet. And they like to stick in the mud. While I fuss around with my dropped ball and fret about my next shot, my wife uses this (it is SO light) to pluck out my wet-and-dirty first ball, watching for gators (this is Florida, after all). She has the time, she is always in the middle of the fairway. We really, really like this.

I like how lite it is and the lime green catcher that appears better under water. Did not in well in bag because it kept falling down the hole. Made a simple wire hook to keep in place.
