This solder tip looks well made and slightly thicker reason why it won't fit my8200 soldering iron, which uses a thinner type tips.. Maybe time to upgrade withthis type of tip to get more soldering heat...

This tip wasn't made for my older model solder gun, but as per other customers I made some modifications with the help of a file and made it fit. I think that in the end this tip is a better quality and will probably outlast the original.

They are solder tips, they work when installed, the tip gets hot enough to melt solder. Should they do more?

This went on and works GREAT for my Weller Professional 260/200 Watt D550 soldering gun.Took a bit to get the tip bent correctly to use, but the description NOR the pictures show that it comes with the nuts/screws, and OBVIOUSLY they can't pre-bend them as then you couldn't het thr nuts/screws on.If you want them pre-bent and with the nuts/screws on, you can find them, but you'll pay TWICE as much and only get 1.And for the price and getting 2 of them, there is NOTHING to complain about.This is for a review of the Weller part 7250W (see attached pictures)

Purchased them knowing prongs needed some bending to fit in Radio Shack soldering gun, but works great!

you are better off using straight copper if you are soldering to the chassis. this tip does not last a long time if you dont let it cool down often. it has a low duty cycle time.

Once i bent it a bit it fit on the Craftsman gun. Craftsman ones are pricey and it's hard to find a Sears still open where I live.
