Worked perfectly. My gun is not that old and maybe they don't make them like they used to but it is perfectly fine and the new tip fit perfectly. I had cleaned the corrosion off the old one which did little good. Now, it is good as new.

It works great but for some reason it is thicker than the one I took off of my Weller soldering gun. After I sanded the corners to make it fit the holes in the mounting nuts it works perfectly.

Work great. They were too thick in diameter for my particular Weller soldering iron, but I just drilled my soldering iron prongs internal diameter a couple sizes wider to accommodate and it worked great. If you are concerned about making adjustments to your soldering iron, then DONT and double check your model for the specific correct part. I thought it was worth it, due to the price of the specific replacement vs this product I'm reviewing which I can now always cheaply reorder.

My old Weller solder gun used the thinner gauge soldering tips. See the comparison pics. I saw a YouTube video about hot rodding an old Weller soldering gun. The video said to use the bigger gauge Weller 7250W tip instead of the Weller 7135N tips. Important If you decide to do this, you want to also order the Weller 7135N Solder Tip Kit that comes with the mounting nuts so you will have an extra set... you have to modify the mounting nuts to accept the bigger 7250W tip. I used wire cutters to clip and remove the old solder tip from the original mounting nuts. I experimented with several drill bits until I got the right hole size to accept the larger 7250W tip. Once the holes are the right size, I slid the legs of the new 7250W tip through the mounting nuts. I also had to very slightly drill out the holes in the two sides / ends on the soldering gun where the bent ends of the tip slide into. After all that. I screwed the mounting nuts into the ends of the soldering gun. I immediately noticed a difference. The bigger tip heats up faster and it does a much better job of soldering heavier gauge wires. With a bit of simple modifications, the old Weller gun had a new life. Well worth the trouble.
