Mission: To assist individuals in achieving self-sufficiency through outcomes-driven programming, utilizing innovative solutions to resolve complex social challenges throughout delaware. West end serves approximately 10,000 individuals annually and employs a comprehensive approach to meet customers' overall needs. The agency is an approved private business & trade school of the delaware department of education and is licensed by the delaware department of services for children, youth & their families to operate a center for school age children. Program services are organized under six primary areas: education, employment, financial empowerment, housing, youth services and community development.

Programs: Life line services for foster care youth: housing and case management, counseling, financial, educational and employment support services as well as job training and placement through west end's urban agriculture program (bright spot farms) and sign creation and installation business (popdot). West end also facilitates matched savings programs to incentivize saving and support efforts toward self-sufficiency.

youth services: include after school and summer programs with a focus on improving parent/child relationships, positive behavior, academic success, and social, emotional, and physical health. Programs use evidence based models to prevent substance abuse, violence, suicide, and teen pregnancy by providing a safe environment where youth are engaged in educational, cultural, and recreational activities. Education services for youth include homework help, tutoring, test preparation, digital literacy, and academic enrichment (including s. T. E. A. M. - science, technology, engineering, art & math).

housing and financial management:financial empowerment includes financial coaching and goal-setting, credit establishment/improvement, tax filing assistance and personal budgeting through the stand by me program; low-cost, low-interest loans (an alternative to payday lending) and crisis alleviation emergency financial assistance to avoid utility shut-off and/or eviction. Housing stability services include hud-certified housing counseling, affordable homeownership and rental opportunities, low-interest credit-builder security deposit loans, as well as relocation services for the elderly/disabled.
