Mission: West Georgia Health Foundation exclusively supports Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center in its mission to enhance the health and well-being of every person we serve.
Results: Since our creation in 2004, West Georgia Health Foundation has provided $5.1 million for construction of a new Emergency Department, more than $14 million for renovation and expansion of Enoch Callaway Cancer Clinic, and raised funds for the newborn nursery, women's health center, and COVID-19 relief. Our current campaign will build the Center for Health & Wellbeing at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center, which is anticipated to house Outpatient Rehabilitation, a fitness center for the active aging population, two aquatic therapy pools, health education space with a teaching kitchen, and an indoor/outdoor walking track. Many area residents have given up on exercise and other healthy lifestyle choices. The Center for Health & Wellbeing’s supportive environment will encourage them to make a fresh start and enjoy access to fitness equipment, walking tracks, exercise classes, and health and wellness education sessions. Your donation for this important community resource will ultimately lead to patients with fewer chronic health conditions and a healthier community.

Direct beneficiaries per year: Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center serves approximately 8,000 inpatient admissions, 58,000 outpatient services, 52,000 emergency room visits, and 750 deliveries each year. We offer a full range of inpatient and outpatient services to meet the health care needs of our community.
Geographic areas served: Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center is a comprehensive regional health care provider located in LaGrange, Georgia, and serving a six-county area that includes Troup, Heard, Harris and Meriwether Counties in Georgia, and Chambers and Randolph Counties in Alabama.
