Mission: The mission of the West Place Animal Sanctuary, an IRS recognized nonprofit organization, is to provide housing, food and medical care for both injured and orphaned wild birds, waterfowl and game birds as well as farm animals from neglect/cruelty cases. The West Place Animal Sanctuary provides both short-term and long-term care as necessary.
Results: We have assisted 1,000 wildlife and several dozen farm animals during our first ten years, and we are now looking forward to starting the next decade of helping these creatures.
Target demographics: The environment, wildlife, and neglected farm animals, horses and exotics
Direct beneficiaries per year: Over 200 wildlife, a dozen farm animals and many exotic birds, while giving groups in underprivileged areas the ability to learn about what we do, meet the animals and get hands-on experience
Geographic areas served: The Rhode Island area and surrounding areas
