Causes: Food, Meals on Wheels

Mission: Our Mission is to combat isolation, food insecurity, and malnutrition while supporting independence, security, and living with dignity. Our service delivers freshly prepared meals to individuals who choose to convalesce in the comfort of their own home or age-in-place. We provide meal service to Bay Village, North Olmsted, Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Township, and Westlake.

Results: With our volunteers, we proudly prepare, package, and deliver over eight hundred meals a week, consisting of one hot entrée and one cold meal fare to each recipient, Monday through Friday. Last year, we were able to furnish over 34,248 meals. By caring for our neighbors, we are creating a more vital and vibrant community, where more of our neighbors can remain in their homes and out of expensive nursing homes or hospital care. We are an IRS-certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization EIN 81-3904491, which receives no government funding.

Target demographics: residents needing nutritional support on a short-term or long-term basis.

Direct beneficiaries per year: Prepared and delivered over 34,000 meals to our recipients in the five communities that we serve.
