Used to change my furnace natural gas vale to a LP gas valve. Easy to install. Just count how many turns to close you gas valve. Then when you install new spring use same number of turns to set new spring tension. Like 2-3 turns from close.

Looks a little different but that's expected. Everything fit - that's what matters.

I picked up a Sterling GG-45 garage furnace setup for NG. I picked up a solid 1/8 NPT brass plug, the correct size drill bit (48 I think) and this spring. After putting the new spring in and hooking up the manometer I was able to dial it in to 9.75 inches WC and the specs call for 10 in/WC but with the elevation its just about perfect. Nice clean blue flame and puts out good heat.

It's a spring (and an LP decal). But you need to permit the natural gas furnace switch to work with LP. Regulator spring cover comes off, old spring comes out, new spring goes in, regulator cover gets screwed back on. Adjust the regulator to the correct pressure and it all works like a charm.
